Civic Standing
A persons civic standing is one of the main lies that keeps the system stable. Citizen are taugh that anyone can rise through the classes through discipline, loyalty, usefulness and hard work. What they don't know is that that The Old World Government controls this process tightly.
It is taught that all citizen have the ability to be promoted to all classes with the exception on the First Citizens. They are chosen for a reason. Being the leaders of the old world, it takes are certain type of person and family to undertake a possition of such prestiage. As such, they are married into the First Citizens where one in the couple are from the chosen bloodline
